Consisting of three buildings, La Paumanelle is part of the local heritage and culture.
Built from "pisé", a local building material composed of round stones and earth typical of the Bas-Dauphiné region, the house is the oldest part of the building.
Up to three families could have been housed at the same time.
The barn, also built in pisé, was a stable for cattle and contained a hayloft.
A wine press on the ground floor came to life during the wine harvest.
Poultry had their hen house in front of the barn. |
